This is one of those photos that I like for some reason that I cant put my finger on, it may be the look she is giving me, it may be the depth, color, or just the fact that I caught the girl right when she was stuffing her mouth with something...and even though there is a bunch of stuff in my way and everything went all pear shaped while shooting it...I still like this photo...
Not often people comment that my work seems sort of tasteless and that things that I find interesting are just things that you see everyday and there is nothing special about it since its all around us. Isnt it the little things around us that makes everything special?
I think I like it because its a real moment, the kind you can see everywhere...

I like that you take what are everyday shots to you, because they aren't to me, and you bring out parts of people that I see but don't always think about as much as I should. It's sort of the "stopping and smelling the roses" idea, but with "stopping and seeing the people"

that's so true, we oversee what's around us as we search for pleasure and beauty when it's right around us, we forget that we're where we are for reasons of understanding that we need to know. i love this stuff.

Very nice capture. Your photography is all about capturing the moment. and you do it so well. the problem is that most people here on DA are just looking for something fancy, eye catching, and something to say ooo and ahhh to. Most people on DA dont actually look at the true meaning of photography. Capturing a single moment. Having that single moment in time that explains what is going on. Your work on DA is under appreciated. I really like your work, especially because you are one of the few people that take the time to explain what is in the photo and how you got it and such. Keep up the good work Colin.
I enjoy a lot your photos. Are wonderful because you (the photgrapher) disapear and you put in contact the people in the photo with us. Its like to be there and to look this girl.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
