Artist's Comments

Nights and years, hardships and war, sacrifice and adversity. It’s nice to be able to smile still. In the last half dozen decades this old man has seen, heard, and been influenced by a world in transition, now he sees everything around him different then it once was, and can still illustrate charm.

Canon 20D, Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS L lens, 1/500 sec, f2.8, ISO 400 [extreme crop from original photo]

When you say "extreme crop" it makes me curious what the original entire frame looked liked and how you cropped it...

<--aspiring photographer trying to learn as much as possible everywhere.
:iconavotius:
this is less then 10% of the actual frame, so you can imagin there is a lot that I chose to leave out

man, it's a beautiful shot. Nicely cropped, although it the reduction in quality is slightly visible (or maybe I'm just imagining it knowing that it is a crop). Also, it would be great to know a bit more of the background of the situation. The caption is sligtly vague. I think PJ shots work better with proper captions.

Shame we can't see the end of the beard.

Even if I appear slighly critical, don't let it fool you ,I really like it.

He has a beautiful smile.

The vampires, however, had fled, obviously no match for the Son of God's inexplicably amazing martial arts skills.

Hmm... The thought makes me want to experiment cropping my photos in many different ways to try different ways of looking at it.

What aspect of the way you shot this makes the detail so true? Detail is one thing I feel I lose in my photos often.
