Farmers Wives

Men tend the fields, women sell goods in the markets. Many families of fathers work this way, sometimes its the other way around, sometimes they switch off. But as in many places, the men do the harder labor like tilling fields and carrying water while the women sell the vegetables and cook the food.

I guess this is a rather bold shot, I was standing no more then a meter from the lady looking at me when I took this photo. The vegetables markets of China are filled with farmers who sell things and its a busy atmosphere with lots of people great for taking pictures.
