Artist's Comments

I was tinkering with the night shot feature on my camera, kinda a neat way to snap pictures in little or no light at all. This shot had a pretty interesting property that most of the others like it didnt have, the image is smooth and doesnt have a large amount of noise that plauges these shots. I guess the camera just desided to play nice for this one eh?

Anyho, im still a little surprised that the image came out so smooth and silky with the nice soft glow in the windows. Also, something I cant quiet figure out is that small whisp of light at the bottom of the wall, there are no other windows or lights around there so I cant quite figure out what it is. The mystery reflection.

If it's long exposure, it could be any reflection that just flashed unnoticed (like very short, directional light from outside that bounced back from something with smooth surface) and wasn't even noticed. Clean image could be a result of just tiny movement of camera that didn't blur the image, but 'averaged' the noise. Ofcourse, this could be completely wrong, but that's just my first impression.

Ooo, I like. The way the light floods in so softly like that makes for an eerie feel which works with the title. ^-^
