he father looks on to the body of his daughter as Tibetan Lamas chant and throw rice into the air during a ritual to help free her spirit. Many villagers, Lamas and monks come to pray for the girl but as to their customs, no one speaks to the father. Afterwards he simply scoops up the girl in her bundle and takes her home for private rituals.

Amazing shot, unreal how much emotion is portrayed in it.

my god..that's beautiful..you can see the emotion even more in this pic..question..afterwards, after the private rituals and such, do people who went to the public funeral go to pay their respects to the family, or are their respects payed through being at the funeral?

This photograph makes me want to cry.. Its so very powerful. I love it.

The vampires, however, had fled, obviously no match for the Son of God's inexplicably amazing martial arts skills.
Every hair, every wrinkle is so real. The textures you captured are beyond amazing, i can almost touch his forehead. But what I like the most is that the realness of the image contrasts with the ambiguity of the emotions. Emotions can't be shown in black and white (no pun intended), and that is precisely what makes looking at photography so very interesting.

I'm stunned at how intense this image feels. I just keep on going back again and again to look at it ...
I think what makes the emotions so strong for me in this photograph is how real it feels, there's not even a hint that this is an act or an exaggeration, the mood and all the feelings just hit you. In a way it's almost scary - the viewer only sees the subject's face, no body posture, no hand gestures, but that is enough to create a really strong response.
Also I keep thinking about how the man's gaze points at the empty space, yet I still want to go back and study the man's face and eyes - I feel as though I can learn more by looking at him, than finding out what is happening in front of him.

Astounding work! I'm in awe!
freaking stunning!!
