Artist's Comments

On the side of the street standing next to a shops door, the old lady holds out hand made items hoping to peddle them off to tourists. She makes no gestures, no expressions, doesn’t call out to any one in the passing crowd to grab their attention. It’s cold out. She has probably been standing there most of the day well into this night. People pass by; no one seems interested in her goods. There are so many people out tonight, and nearly as many street venders. No one takes notice of her standing in the corner. Another person walks by; they don’t give her a second look. She goes on standing there holding out her hand.

everyone usually ignores everyone else in a large city.
they're just so desensitized to huge crowds/individuals.

a little different from most of your submissions. cool that you're experimenting.
:iconcrnlious:
I like shutter speed's effect , that greatly tells the situation
"time" is for the shades not the old lady

but i prefer the picture without the object on the left side

conq for you
in turkish "eline sağlık" which means "bless to your hand"
:iconavotius:
yeah, ive fallen into a rut of formal compositions and normalized shots, recently I got some advice to turn everything around
:icondissembled59:
yeah..always trying to find the perfect composition.
gets frustrating. (for me anyway. :P)

maybe it is better to not rely too much on compositions..more liberating.
:iconendintears:
