The alley way I took this photo in had the perfect lighting, the sun was situated in just a way that it didn't illuminate the wall but did cast a glow on the person sitting in the middle of it. She just looked at me on that hot day with barely a response as I snapped a few shots and walked on.

just like hemingway talks about "the perfect word" you have the perfect shot...

its pretty clear, the control you have, of your craft.

and as an obvious sidenote, digital wouldnt even compare for this shot. thank god you took the yashica. or that you are inclined to shoot film in the first place, anyway. (it seems)

welldone! looks really as a stone
Beg to differ. Digital if handled correctly is wonderful for all types of shots.
I still love film and use it with my mamiya, but honestly it's how you work the medium, not the medium itself.

Yes! Go Yashica! I have an old-school Yashica FR.

got to love yashica, I just got myself a yashinon 50 1.4 lens yesterday to use on the 5D. Gooooood times.
Hm....double edged sword really, neither is better then the other for everything, film is still great though, I have two digital cameras and 8 or 9 film cameras, got to love it all.
it's really good to have such an old camera. The switch from that to a Canon Rebel XTi was a snap, because I learned so much from the Yashica
