Traditions

Its not hard to notice the traditions in many parts of Asia, from the food to the way people wear their clothing. Many small villages in the country sides exist in a state of time similar to how things were several hundred years ago. Even though modern technologies like television and phones have found their into isolated societies, many things are still the way they were, things like the old tea pots, the tools for farming, the way food is prepared, even the long pipe the old man smokes.

This photo is full of old things, and one very strange contrast with the odd pack of crackers sitting on the table, yet even they are shaped in an old chinese style. I like the old peppers hanging on the wall and the big wooden scoops under them. Even the old style plow that is attached to a water buffalo and then used in the mud paddies is still as it was hundreds if not thousands of years ago.
