Artist's Comments

I spent many days in this village wandering around the rooftops and hills. The towers are kind of like look outs used in the past keeping a watch on the area, now they are filled with dried corn.

NOTE: During the Sichuan earthquake of 2008 this village was heavily damaged and many buildings destroyed.

I've been trying to think up a concept for a village. I love the look of this photo. There's so many details to it. It's a great shot. Would you mind if I don't come up with my own concept use it? Of course giving credit where it's due.

Are the mountains terraced for farming or is that just erosion in the the rocks?

This is in Sichuan, this place im sorry to say was severely damaged by the recent earthquake there. Many people in this area died because their houses are simple piles of brick and mud.
