Hey hey, what the heck, im gona be posting a hand full of landscape shots I took over in the States over the next few days. When I was there I found that street photography was kinda bland compared to what I am used to, plus I was in red neck country and I didnt want someone to throw their pot bellied pig at me for snapping photos. Once I am done with this small series then ill go back to sticking up the usual street shots.

Hm...I really wish I could divide up my gallery into physical sections ala pbase so it would look more organized....

BTW...anyone have any experience with a Contax T3? Ive been looking for a pocketable 35mm cam to carry around at all times, the black one is looking nicer and nicer. That Ricoh GR1V looks good too but the lens seems slightly wide for me, also took a peek at the Leica CM, that may have the best lens but the damn thing is way too big and as with all the other Leica stuff, kinda expensive.

too big, I have a rangefinder, the mamiya 6. The konica is too big, im looking for a very small pocket camera that shoots 35mm film and has high quality lens, I need to be able to keep it with me at all times and not bother me

you dont carry a bag with you? i always keep a bag on me.

i'm thinking of the mamiya 6II myself.. i've heard the lens quality is awesome.

my only thoughts on a compact 35mm would be sacrificing lens quality.. but yeah.. you already said that.

the leica cm.. but you'll be hard pressed in low lighting situations.

is a manual exposure mode a priority? may be hard to find.

7II you mean? The made a 6 and a 6mf which no one liked. I looked at the 7II long and hard because you cant get new 6's and the 7 has more lenses, but in the end went for the 6 because of its better built quality, colapsible lens mount, and because I like square format. Needless to say, mamiya's lenses are fantastic. Build quality of their cameras is not the best but if you treat it well it will show you great results. The contax t3 on the other hand does have the appature priority which I use 99% of the time, plus the lens is good, I usualy shoot in the 35-40mm range anyho so the 35mm 2.8 lens on there will do me nicely. I duno, seems ok, the leica seems waaaay too big, and low light stuff doesnt bother me too much since I usualy dont shoot low light. I used to carry a bag on me but it gets a little combersome for me, sometimes the smallest of cameras is still too much to take with ya...

eh yeah, that price, ehem....I duno, there is one fella here that has the minilux and that is ginormous, and aparently the CM is "18% smaller"...yeah, still too big for me, when I say I need a small pocket camera I mean small like a ricoh gr1v or that size.

i mean.. why not grab a hiquality pocket digital..

you're not going to get much smaller than the CM or contax t3 for film ..

i checked out that t3.. fixed 35mm? cool shit.. sounds like a fun camera to tote around.. that may be your ticket..
